Josh has been so fun to be around lately. He is such a happy boy and he just loves to say "Hi!" to EVERYBODY! He has been starting to jabber a lot more and copies a lot of the words that we say to him. It is fun to watch him wander throughout the house playing with toys and entertaining himself rather than waiting to be entertained. He is also doing better at feeding himself. This is his latest attempt with spaghetti -- I know, we chose kind of a hard food for him to self-feed with but he did pretty good considering.
I have found a new hobby in card making. It still takes me quite a while to make one card but I have a lot to live up to with Felicia's (my sister) and Erin's (my sister-in-law) cards. Here are a couple of the cards I have made lately.
Last week Josh and I went to California with my mom and Felicia and her two kids. We had such a fun time. We went to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and Disneyland. I was amazed at how much fun the kids had - Olivia is 3, Josh is 15 months, and Lincoln just turned 1. The entire week Josh had a smile pasted on his face and he hated to take a nap for fear that he might miss something exciting. Thank goodness we did get in a nap or two during the week.
Every night when we got back to the hotel room Josh ran around grateful to be free of the stroller and being held. This picture gives a little taste of his happiness found in freedom!
Josh just cannot contain his excitement. I don't remember what ride this was on but he was loving every minute of it!
We were in Disneyland for my birthday. I wore a pin that said Happy Birthday. A lot of people wished me a happy birthday - I never had a chance to forget that it was more than another day of the week!
Josh and Lincoln were stroller buddies during the duration of the trip. Those strollers came in really handy - the kids ate in them, slept in them, and rode in them! Hooray for big strollers that also held all of our junk quite nicely.
We had a very fun time. I always wondered at the people bringing young kids to Disneyland but I would definitely do it again. It was worth the fun that we all had!

I'm sad I missed Disneyland this time around. Josh is too darn cute - I'm also sad I'm missing out on so much with him! Your cards are amazing! I'm so proud of you!
THANK YOU FOR THE BLOG!
YAY!!! I am so excited that you have a blog. It looks like you guys had tons of fun in Disneyland. I told Dan that we need to go now. I am glad that you had a special birthday. The cards are adorable. They are 10 times better than anything I could ever do. If you ever need someone to sit by you while you make them give me a call.
hi Josh and Marinda, thanks for going to Disneyland with me. I guess you could call Felicia and Marinda my stroller buddies--we all got turns pushing them around. Love, MOM
