Josh's 3rd Birthday!!

Josh is now 3! I cannot believe it. How time flies! Josh decided that he wanted a Cars birthday party this year. He was so excited and told anyone who asked him about his party that it was going to be a Cars party!

I started looking on the internet for cake ideas and came across a Lightning McQueen cake that I loved. I told Brandon that we should do the same thing and I think he doubted our ability (especially since neither of us had worked with fondant before). It turned out very well and was a lot of fun to make. Brandon had a hard time cutting in to it, but isn't that what a cake is for?!

We made Josh his own miniature car cake while we were pounding out the McQueen cake. He ate almost the entire little cake on his own - he was a huge fan.

This is a picture of Josh with his cousins enjoying their cake and ice cream.

We had a really fun party for Josh. He was so happy that so many friends and family could come and celebrate with him! We love you Josh and look forward to another great year with you!

Two Cute Boys

Santa brought the boys a new Radio Flyer wagon for Christmas. We have spent many days/nights since giving rides around the living room. On this occasion Josh found his 2 hats from the Melaleuca summer picnics for he and Aiden to wear.

Brandon took Josh out to play in the snow and Aiden and I went to check on them. Of course Adien needed a ride on the sled with Josh. He was not good at hanging on and got tipped off one to many times for his liking.

Brandon's sister Jennifer made Josh and Aiden some Valentine's Day ties. We took a few pictures before we headed off to church.

I LOVE this picture of Josh. He looks so handsome and grown up!

Josh and Aiden have recently acquired the same bug jammies. We got them ready for bed and tossed them on the couch for a cute picture together.

We have two super cute boys whom we love very much. It's so fun to watch them grow and interact (most days). These pictures show the types of moments that make everything worth while!

The Christmas Post.....Finally!!

We had a really fun Christmas Day/break - too bad it has taken me so long to post about it. We spent the night at Grandpa and Grandma Squires house and Josh was so excited for Santa to come. Here he is checking out his stocking and its contents.

Santa brought Josh a shopping cart (which thankfully replaced the pink baby stroller he has been pushing around which was mine when I was little!) He was pretty excited about a new shopping cart and is still pushing it around full of all sorts of random things.

We had to wake Aiden up so that we could start Christmas morning....what kind of parents are we? Here he is sitting on Uncle Trevor's lap trying to wake up a bit. (It was not even that early I promise!)

Aiden did really well opening presents for the first time. He was a very typical 10 month old and probably liked the wrapping paper more than what was inside.

Josh had to take a few breaks to check out the new presents.

Here he is sporting his new backpack that holds his play mat and Tonka tractors. (Grandpa Squires is in the background showing off his new beanie.)

Aiden is a book lover like Josh - he is also checking out his new presents.

Brandon took the Monday after Christmas off work and we went bowling with his family. It was really fun and Josh LOVED it! It was his second time bowling (his first time being a year before) and he was so happy that they had bowling shoes in his size. This is probably one of the cutest pictures of him that we have taken for a long time - he doesn't like to pose for the camera for too long. You can tell just how excited he is about going bowling.

He started out rolling the ball down the lane all by himself and did pretty good. (It did take the ball a REALLY long time to make it down the lane.) By the end of the 2nd game he was using the metal thing you push the ball down. It didn't matter to him....he had a great time!

We had a really good break with Brandon's family over the Christmas holiday and it was fun to relive the holiday through Josh and Aiden's!
