While we were in Utah for Day out with Thomas we decided to go to the Hogle Zoo. Josh had a great time there as well! He loved seeing the animals, loved playing in the discovery area and really enjoyed riding the little train. It was a little cold at the zoo so we all wore jackets and fared pretty well.
We arrived at the zoo just in time for Aiden to eat. While I was feeding him Josh and Brandon went to play in the discovery area (not a bad time to play there since when we left at 2 it was packed). Brandon said that Josh really liked this snake slide.
This boat was basically a decoration but Josh had to get in to have his picture taken in it.
Right behind Josh and Brandon is the new baby elephant at the zoo. It was so cute!
This was how Aiden enjoyed the zoo - I think he was asleep the entire time. We used his carrier a lot this weekend and my back was broken by the time the weekend was over.

Josh was so excited to ride a gorilla on the carousel. We tried to see the real gorillas in the zoo but they were really hard to see so he settled for the fake one.

Josh is quite attached to his daddy so all weekend it was Josh and Brandon together and Aiden and I together. Brandon talked Josh into sitting on the noisy elephant but as you can see by his expression he was still a little nervous.

We had to take a ride on the little train at the zoo. When we left we asked Josh what his favorite animal at the zoo was and he told us it was the train. Ummm, what?

On our way home we stopped at the Hill Aerospace Museum to check out the airplanes. (Josh also loves airplanes.)

We were there a lot longer than I was hoping for but Josh had a really good time. All in all we had a fabulous weekend. Maybe someday we will be able to take the boys somewhere a little more exciting but for now this worked out just fine!
