Aiden William Squires

Aiden William Squires was born on March 10, 2010 at 7:56 am. He weighed 8 lb 10 oz and was 21 inches long.

We had an interesting morning at the hospital preparing for the c-section. It involved 45 min. trying to get the IV started and 30 minutes to pump 3 liters of fluid in. I warned the anesthesiologist that with Josh the spinal went really high and my arms were numb. Well...it happened again. I couldn't hold Aiden for our picture in the operating room - Brandon had to hold him for me. (My forehead decoration is really just my temperature reading.)

Josh got to stay with both sets of Grandparents during our hospital stay. Talk about a party. He was not so sure about Aiden at first and we struggled to get a good picture but this one turned out pretty cute. He is wearing the 'big brother' shirt that he wore when we announced that we were pregnant.

I had not yet had a picture of Aiden and I together while at the hospital so here is my attempt at doing a self portrait. I don't look too bad but unfortunately you can't see Aiden - he is in the white blanket that I am holding.

This was one of the first pictures we got with Aiden's eyes open. Pretty cute, eh?!

Here is a picture of my boys. I am outnumbered as the only girl but am definitely okay with that. They are all so handsome!!

Here are a couple of pictures of Aiden's first "bath". Josh was excited that Aiden was taking a bath and then couldn't figure out why we weren't submerging him in the water. He was very helpful in entertaining Aiden and then washing his hair.

We are so excited that Aiden is here healthy and strong. He is a wonderful baby and is already letting me sleep most of the night (I usually only have to get up once to feed him). Josh is adjusting nicely to his new baby brother - he says Aiden is his "buddy" and loves to give him hugs and kisses.

I am so happy to see pictures of the cute little guy. I hope he keeps being a good boy for you and sleeps well. We are hoping to come home some time at the end of this summer and hope he doesn't grow to much by then. We miss you guys so much. Hope Josh is enjoying his brother a little better.
